I saw an article about the book in People Style Watch magazine and decided to stick to my New Year's resolution of getting healthy and taking better care of myself. This book is exactly what I needed! Not only does it break down the Physique 57 exercises so that they're easy to follow but it also includes 2 weeks worth of delicious meals. It doesn't even feel like I'm following a diet plan because I'm having so much fun doing the exercises and cooking the meals with my husband. I'm seeing my body change every day and feel confident that this year will be my best year yet. The fitness tips in the book have also helped me stay motivated! The Physique 57 Solution is not only a book you read through to learn, it is more like a reference book for exercise, diet ("way of life" eating plan) proper form, recipes. I've been a Physique "Phanatic" for over 2 years and the changes have been nothing short of incredible. At 51, I am in better shape than I was 20 years ago. With all of the hype out there concerning cardio, interval, strengthening, etc. what you have here is the best of all of it in one incredible book. I am a "former runner", step class taker, bike rider, and the results I've gotten with this one workout make the other exercises seem like child's play. The results just keep getting better and better! Make an investment in yourself for the New Year and make a resolution that will be so great for you to follow through on. As a long time fan of the Physique 57 technique (I have all 6 DVDs and do the workout consistently, plus visit New York whenever I can to take a live class!) I was sooo excited to hear about the launch of their diet plan. The book covers EVERYTHING. In addition to a 2-week meal plan and recipes, it outlines the science behind the technique, why it is so effective, plus 2 full body routines with song playlists so you can do the complete workout on your own at home or while traveling if you are unable to get access to a DVD player. The meal plan is based on a holistic, macro-nutrient based set of meals, which includes simple recipes for each meal outlined. I like how the meals take no more than a few minutes to make or prepare, they are filling and limit dairy and hormones, and focus on vegetables, lean protein and nuts and seeds. The Physique 57 technique has been so popular because it is one of the few workouts that is FUN, and EFFECTIVE all at the same time. Countless women band together on their Facebook page to support one another and discuss the joys of doing this workout to achieve a lean and sexy physique. It goes over the science behind the exercise, goes over the moves-- proper positioning and also gives more moves and modifications, and also has a diet plan. The book has workout routines mapped out for you, also you could build your own or add to the ones on the DVDs. I recommend and enjoy this book!—H.
I have been a fan of this technique for a long time, and this crisply written book continues to motivate me. The diet section looks at really important issues (artificial sweeteners, dairy) often over looked in fitness writing, while the extended breakdown of poses addresses questions on form. The correct form makes all the difference! Only Physique 57 can make your jeans feel loser after an hour's work. The Physique 57 Solution is just that... the solution--the solution we're all looking for! It is a fantastic supplement to the Physique 57 DVD collection. The book provides in-depth visuals and explanations for so many of the interval moves, so even if you do not own the DVDs, you can use the book as your guide! The recipes are delicious, filling and take into account those pesky cravings we all get but guide you toward the clean & healthy way to fulfill those cravings!
